Occupy Oakland Re-Occupies in Mosswood Park (Ongoing Action) – 37th and Broadway, Oakland – March 22, 2012

While hundreds of NYPD officers were deployed to intimidate OWS protesters last night in Union Square, Occupy Oaklanders organized a non-publicized occupation of an undisclosed location in solidarity with occupations around the country and to give Occupy Oakland a new organizational home base. In the cover of night, a dedicated group of Occupy Oakland protesters were able to set up a new camp without any harassment from the overbearing local police force by keeping the location a secret, until this morning at about 7:15 AM. An estimated 30 people held … Continued

“PermOccupy – A Pathway to a Sustainable Future,” by Killian O’Brien. Interview on PermOccupy with Killian by Willi Paul. Presented by Planetshifter.com Magazine                                     Why PermOccupy? … “I should clarify. The name just popped into my head down in the Grand Circus Park the night this whole idea occurred to me. It’s just a simple, perhaps catchy way of getting across the idea of intentionally melding permaculture and Occupy to ramp up the … Continued

NorCal Transition Yeast: Interview with Peter Ruddock, Slow Money, Transition Palo Alto & San Mateo County Food System Alliance. By Willi Paul, Planetshifter.com Magazine http://planetshifter.com/node/1999 – excerpt – “I spent too many years working in Silicon Valley, under a venture capital system, wherein people were made to compete with each other and even worthwhile projects were abandoned if they did not produce enough wealth for the principal investors. It was often a system of divide and conquer, where individuals competed with other individuals. Yes, there was cooperation, mostly within the … Continued

We Need a Reportback from the new Media Committee

Just that. Nothing extraordinary. We need a reportback from the new Media Commitee trustees even if it is to tell us they have nothing to report. I notice some of the old crew are pumping away at the old site, hellaoccupyoakland.  The site is still up and still using the name. I and many others would like to know what is going on.  We have had more than a week to catch our breath and simmer down.  So in addition to this public request I’m reaching out to those involved … Continued

College for California

Hey Occupy Oakland, I’m Ana Laura, a high school student at Life Academy and I wanted to share out Collegeforcalifornia.org . It is a ballot initiative that was created by Oakland’s Unity and Life Academy high school students! This petition promises to fund all tuition and fees for students at the UCs and CSUs public schools. But, we need your help.  We are contacting campus groups, parents, and organizations throughout California in a truly grassroots effort to get the signatures necessary to qualify this initiative for the 2012 November election. We need to spread the word through out … Continued

By Willi Paul & openmythsource.com http://planetshifter.com/node/1997 – excerpt – “Older, school-age children have bitten the line a lot harder. Anonymous / Occupy Sacramento – The Lost Ones (HD)

To the citizens of the world. We are Anonymous. Joseph Kony, a man from Uganda, has been kidnapping children for over 20 years. Forcing them to join his army of terror. The subject remains obscure, so this message is in a more broader scope; a war cry against Human and Child Trafficking. We will update this information as more detailed, and reliable facts are brought forth. We urge all citizens of the United States, and the world to open their eyes. To come together in a time of fierce … Continued
