Kim Jong Il murdered as part of major Asian power battle

THE LATEST FROM BENJAMIN FULFORD, 12-20-2011 North Korean dictator Kim Jong Il was murdered Saturday as part of a major power struggle in East Asia, according to Asian secret society sources and Japanese military intelligence. The murder of Kim was followed by a series of arrests of senior police officials in Japan linked to North Korea as well as the ouster of six CIA agents, the Japanese sources say. The death has left Yasuhiro Nakasone, the top North Korean and Rothschild agent in Japan, without a power base, Japanese underworld sources … Continued

Smoking at the GAs – Please Help

I am writing this in the sincere hope that it can lead to a productive discussion and action.  I am a strong supporter of Occupy Oakland and everything we are trying to do together, but I have very severe asthma.  I have come to many of the GAs and had to leave after the smoking became unbearable; it has become increasingly difficult for me to participate. Perhaps some of the people at the GA are not aware of the pain and suffering they are causing and so I hope to … Continued

Just an observation

Ever since the December 12 port shutdown, there have been no provocative/outrageous posts or comments from Maxine Holz/Change Agent/Bethechange/Rebel Space Princess/Gene Sharp/Nancy Oakes. I guess it’s just a coincidence. 13102

Want to make Occupy Oakland work better? Start with yourself!

I don’t rant much, or at least I don’t feel like I do, but I gotta tell you I’m a little pissed off. Occupy is NOT a hierarchical, nonprofit with full time workers, access to grants or funding. None of us get paid to be there. Not the kids at the vigil, not the people on the boat, not the P.O.C., the facilitation team, the media team, the web team, finance, or the admins and users on facebook, the website and other forums, NONE OF US GET PAID TO DO THIS!!! … Continued

Occupy Oakland City Council

It looks like Ignacio de la Fuente, Desley Brooks, Larry Reid, and Libby Schaaf are dying to have OO pack the Council chambers at next Tuesday’s meeting…I’m sure their ally Pat Kernighan is also eager to see a full house of Occupiers. http://www.insidebayarea.com/oakland-tribune/ci_19557602 Oh, the embarrassment of it all!   12847

The Real Costs: Crooks/banksters compared with The Victims: Occupy and the 99%

The Real Costs: Crooks/banksters compared with The Victims: Occupy and the 99% It’s continuing to disturb me that officials and the news media focus on the cost of cleaning up Occupy activities instead of keeping a balanced picture. We need to keep the big picture in front of us, the massive and unprecedented violence wrought on the majority of hardworking Americans, not by Occupy, but by Banksters among others. I’ve begun to see some devastating comparisons between the costs of Occupy and Banksters (bailouts). I’m not a scholar on bank … Continued

Hoof Arted?

I was not at the Sunday Dec 5th Occupy Oakland GA Ogawa/Grant Plaza  I really wish I had been, as it may have been the last GA that approached a true demographic representation of Oakland’s diversity. I also regret not being at that GA for what I missed.   And here I wish that someone would clue me in.  What DID I miss? Did some freaky young person streak naked through the assembly?  Did Andy Dick crash the party and vomit on someone? Was there an actual fistfight? Did the … Continued

Corruption American style

Studies show that we find it hard to criticize systems that we feel we depend on.  Therefore, we should build up parallel systems to reduce our dependency on the systems controlled by and for the 1%.  Shopping local, growing food, generating local energy can all help.  But maybe the most important thing is to reach out and help each other. http://nextbigfuture.com/2011/12/corruption-american-style.html 11858
