The resolution calls on the governor and state legislature to support Senate Bill 332, which would commission a study to explore transitioning away from PG&E and other investor-owned utilities, to a not-for-profit utility that would put people and the planet before profits.

This bill is supported by a broad coalition of organizations, including Sunflower Alliance. It would create a path for getting rid of PG&E’s excessive profiteering and dangerous practices — overcharging and endangering us — and replace it with a nonprofit organization
