open teamspeak server for occupiers

Occupy Michigan has a teamspeak server setup for all occupations to use at there leisure. the server address is digitalfrost.net and there is no password. teamspeak allows for real time voice and text chat as well as file sharing and all sorts of nifty things. we even have our own occupy oakland room. if you have any questions feel free to ask me. teamspeak can be downloaded for free here http://www.teamspeak.com/?page=downloads just thought this would be a great resource for discussion and coordination with other occupations as well as oakland. … Continued

On Wednesday, November 30th, the General Assembly will be held at Fruitvale BART. Otherwise, General Assembly meets at Oscar Grant Plaza in the amphitheater on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and Sunday. Million of state taxpayer dollars are being spend on New construction for The Oakland Military academy. Governor Jerry Brown can finds millions of dollars for his pet project the Oakland military academy . the academy is located on 39th street between west and market streets. About OccupyOakland.org

This website was created in the fall of 2011. Most of it is now moribund, but the Occupy Oakland Calendar, which lists activist events in the East Bay (and occasionally elsewhere) is still maintained, the Search facility works to find earlier posts and keep OO’s history alive, and articles are occasionally still posted to the front page.

The Occupy Oakland General Assembly met in-person weekly (with a rare skip) since October 10th, 2011 up until the pandemic, at which point we went to bi-weekly Zoom meetings. We do checkins, go over the activist events of the past meeting interval, and have general discussions on politics and revolution.

For many years, until the pandemic, we put on a Feed the People event monthly at Oscar Grant Plaza, where all were welcome to come and partake of a freshly cooked, savory meal, before our GA.
