By answering my call to action, we have spread awareness to millions of Americans in less than 2 weeks! Now is the time to back up our words with action. Join me and millions of your fellow Americans, as we unite to hold Wells Fargo accountable for victimizing millions of Americans by voting with our money and CLOSING OUR ACCOUNTS on NOVEMBER 12th!
***BACKGROUND***
The recent Wells Fargo Fraudulent Account Scandal is the latest in a long line of financial crimes committed by Too Big To Fail Banks against the American People dating back to 2008. Each time, Bank executives walked away unscathed with multi-million dollar paydays.
In this instance, despite the best efforts of regulators and politicans, CEO John Stumpf and Head of “Community” Banking, Carrie Tolstedt, are expected to walk away with hundreds of millions in compensation.
The only way to stop this is as a consumer is to VOTE WITH YOUR MONEY. Money is the only language these Bankers understand.
By closing your accounts and moving your money to more local and ethical financial institutions, you will be sending a resounding message to all Big Banks, that this behavior will no longer be tolerated by the American People.
However, in order to force management’s hand, we need to rally MILLIONS. I’m only one man, I can’t do this alone. This is where you come in.
I need your help with the following:
1. Spreading the word by inviting any potential victims or supporters of the movement to the event.
2. Educating yourself and others about local and ethical financial institutions you can move your money to.
3. Coordinating local Close Your Account Demonstations in your community and getting your local news to cover it.
4. Post a picture or video of yourself with some type of document that proved you closed your account. Explain why you did it and challenge your friends using the hashtags: #closeyouraccount #closeyouraccountchallenge #holdWFaccountable
Remember, as individuals we are powerless. But together, one small act multiplied millions of times can change the course of human history.
Let’s let November 12th, go down as the day the American people decided to take back control of the country from the Big Banks and ended the reign of terror that “Too Big To Fail” once and for all.
