Jewish Voice for Peace – Bay Area presents “Life in Occupied Palestine”: To Exist Is to Resist! a journal launch, music and fundraiser featuring contributors to a special issue of the journal Biography on Thursday, April 23rd, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m, at La Pena!
This evening of readings and music will feature: Magid Shihade (faculty member at Birzeit University, Palestine), Sarah Ihmoud (PhD candidate, Department of Anthropology, Univeristy of Texas at Austin), and Cynthia Franklin (Biography co-editor, University of Hawai’i faculty member, USACBI Organizing Collective, and co-founder of Jewish Voice for Peace – Hawai’i). There will also be sweets for all to enjoy. Come hear timely insights and analyses from these outstanding academics and activists. Invite your friends!
