Berkeley Juneteenth Festival

The festival theme is, ” Still Fighting the Good Fight for Equal Justice.” A wise man once said: “Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those who are.”-Benjamin Franklin, and another wise man said: “Can’t we all just get along?”-Rodney King.  In this country, a privileged few have been under the illusion that justice is defined as “just us”, and the underprivileged have suffered as a result. But we are all in this society together and we share equal responsibility for ensuring equal justice for all, through our actions and reactions, in our families, communities and in the world.
