Calling All Occupiers OWS ACTIVISTS INVITED TO VISIT CUBA, January 1 to 11, 2013The Center for Global Justice invites Occupy activists to participate in a January 8 to 11 international workshop on Emancipatory Paradigms, hosted by the Institute of Philosophy in Havana, Cuba. Dialog with Cuban thinkers and delegates from social movements around Latin America on anti-capitalist resistance, movement experiences, and radical possibilities for the 21st century. Before the workshop, beginning January 1, the Institute is organizing additional activities to help you get to know Cuba, its people and its Revolution. There will be talks on the Cuban political system, the Cuban Revolution, anti-capitalist resistance in Latin America, and site visits around Havana and Pinar del Rio. In our free time we will initiate additional people-to-people interactions with a diversity of Cubans. Estimated cost of this 10 day trip is $1,100 plus airfare. That includes lodging with breakfast and dinner daily, a full program of activities, transportation and translation (all activities will be translated). Some scholarship assistance may be available. This is a legal trip under the people-to-people educational exchange license of the Center for Global Justice (license renewal pending).
