12:00 pm Nurse In to Protest the Over Watering of Our Beloved Oak Tree
The majestic symbol of our city is in danger!
In the city’s attempt to prevent the possibility of the return of the OCCUPY OAKLAND encampment – they have been over watering the lawn in front of city hall.
This has resulted in a muddy swamp situation…. arborists warn that this muddy environment may cause damaged to the roots of the tree, and her possible demise!
This from the same city which complained that the campers were a health issue!!
We the mommas and grandmothers of Oakland and the Bay Area cannot allow this abuse of the oldest living citizen f our town to go without protest!
we will gather at noon! on the steps of city hall with our babies, childrenc and grandchildren. our nusing mommas will breasfeed thier infants for one minute, in solidarity with our tree – and in honor of the gift of life!
THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO ALL MOMMAS, (NURSING OR NO) POPPAS, CHILDREN’S – ELDERS AND ALL WHO HONOR LIFE – IN ALL ITS FORMS!!!

Bring an Umbrella tonight to protest the constant harassment by the OPD of the people who are at the 24/7 vigil. They could use some solidarity, warm cloths, warm meals, hot coco, and good conversation 🙂
