COURT TOMORROW FOR NEWLY CHARGED O25 ARRESTEES

hello everybody

last night a person who had been abducted by opd on o25 received a summons to court tomorrow morning at nine o’clock. there was no real notice. she has been charged for an imaginary offense, and will have a warrant on her if she does not appear.

any of you who were arrested but not charged during the raid on the encampment, and in the weeks following, should still be checking with the district attorney office regularly to see if they have chosen you for persecution.

court is at nine o’clock. there is no time to call in ahead of time for tomorrow. if you were abducted and released on the 25th, you should show up. at the very least, you will be bringing support for those of us fighting this system in the courts. at most, hopefully avoiding a warrant for failure to appear if your name is on the docket.

This website was created in the fall of 2011. Most of it is now moribund, but the Occupy Oakland Calendar, which lists activist events in the East Bay (and occasionally elsewhere) is still maintained, the Search facility works to find earlier posts and keep OO’s history alive, and articles are occasionally still posted to the front page.

The Occupy Oakland General Assembly met in-person weekly (with a rare skip) since October 10th, 2011 up until the pandemic, at which point we went to bi-weekly Zoom meetings. We do checkins, go over the activist events of the past meeting interval, and have general discussions on politics and revolution.

For many years, until the pandemic, we put on a Feed the People event monthly at Oscar Grant Plaza, where all were welcome to come and partake of a freshly cooked, savory meal, before our GA.
