  On March 31, 2023, Judge Lucretia Clemons of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas denied political prisoner Mumia Abu-Jamal’s legal appeal. Judge Clemons’ decision ludicrously claims that newly discovered evidence proving that key witnesses at Mumia’s trial were paid by (or received favours from) the District Attorney in exchange for their false testimony was “not material” to showing that the trial was unfair! Mumia Abu-Jamal is innocent and should never have spent a day in jail. This decision shows that Mumia will never receive justice in the capitalist courts. … Continued
