Revolutionary Nicaragua in the Crosshairs of Imperialism Our speaker, Gerry Condon, spent six years in exile after being sentenced to 10 years prison for refusing Army orders in Vietnam. He returned to Nicaragua in 1987 with the Veterans Peace Action Teams, founded by Brian Willson, to work in the northern war zones.
