I was planning on being at the Courthouse this morning for the jailed Occupy activists. The mayor isn’t very consistent, stating that camping is criminal. She would not prevent the Black Friday shoppers from camping in front of the stores, of course not. Protesting is legal and the Occupy movement is this movements original statement. 7765
The businesses complain that the Occupiers are using their public restrooms, now the police stop the placement of porta potties. Do they think if they will not allow us a pot to piss in, that we will go away? They would be really sorry if everybody used the area in the plaza under the trees for a pottie and they had to clean that up. Have the organizers of Occupy Wall Street looked into the FairTax Act, or is there another fair tax base that they are proposing? We need to have a goal or some sort of solution, to aim for, alternatives to the existing tax basis that is totally lopsided and allows loopholes for the rich. From what I have seen of the FairTax Act it is simple and fair. If this isn’t agreeable, what can we propose what are some of the goals? WandaKay 7160
