The next meeting of the Re-Imagine the Occupy Oakland General Assembly Working Group will be at the HoldOut at 2313 San Pablo Ave in Oakland on Friday, 4/13 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. This is our 4th meeting but we are still open to new members attending – that will be true throughout this process. This week we will be breaking into task-oriented subgroups to really step-up the planning of this conference/series of conferences. Location change for the Facilitation Committee Meeting for 3/31

Please be advised that the Saturday, 3/31 Facilitation Committee meeting will not be at 19th & Telegraph. Instead, we will be meeting at the location of the North Oakland BBQ and Speak-out, at 52nd & MLK. We will meet at 4:00 pm today at 52nd and MLK to intake any proposals and vote on emergency proposals for the Sunday, April 1 General Assembly. The GA will still be at 19th & Telegraph. About OccupyOakland.org

This website was created in the fall of 2011. Most of it is now moribund, but the Occupy Oakland Calendar, which lists activist events in the East Bay (and occasionally elsewhere) is still maintained, the Search facility works to find earlier posts and keep OO’s history alive, and articles are occasionally still posted to the front page.

The Occupy Oakland General Assembly met in-person weekly (with a rare skip) since October 10th, 2011 up until the pandemic, at which point we went to bi-weekly Zoom meetings. We do checkins, go over the activist events of the past meeting interval, and have general discussions on politics and revolution.

For many years, until the pandemic, we put on a Feed the People event monthly at Oscar Grant Plaza, where all were welcome to come and partake of a freshly cooked, savory meal, before our GA.
