Hey Occupy Oakland,
I’m Ana Laura, a high school student at Life Academy and I wanted to share out Collegeforcalifornia.org . It is a ballot initiative that was created by Oakland’s Unity and Life Academy high school students! This petition promises to fund all tuition and fees for students at the UCs and CSUs public schools. But, we need your help. We are contacting campus groups, parents, and organizations throughout California in a truly grassroots effort to get the signatures necessary to qualify this initiative for the 2012 November election. We need to spread the word through out California! These universities are public and they are being privatized every year by increasing tuition, leaving many students in debts. Please visit our website, Collegeforcalifornia.org and print petitions! Lets make this happen! Education should be free and it should be for all! It is our right and we must fight for what has been taken from us!
