PG&E SmartMeters

Dear Josh [Hart] —

[and Mike B & Jim O and everyone who has been part of trying to make a
difference in 2011 so that 2012 could be electro-smog free]

Thank you for all you’ve done for all these years.  You forged a trail
that made it easier for me to to find out what has gone so very very
wrong over the last decade.  Your work, your efforts are so
appreciated by many people.

Break from American Media — 180 degrees over to Mumbai, India:

On August 09, 2011, I was jammin’ along with my little life, learning
Hindi as my language requirement for the Bachelor of Science at UCSC.
On August 10, 2011, everything good came to a screeching halt when
PG&E installed two creepy meters serving seven apartments on two
different walls of my apartment.

This created an unlivable situation immediately.  Weeks passed living
in a cardboard box in the parking lot while being hassled by anyone
and everyone, and getting no help from those whose obligation it was
to extend assistance.  I collected a whole lot of NOES and made a
list.

Needless to say, my ire was rising as my health quickly faded.  Weeks
passed until I could get back to “the day before” because I couldn’t
stay in my apartment for long without being tased — and, to top it
off, my equipment either burnt out or crashed on the day of creepy
meter installation.

I needed an “anthem” to get me through PG&E’S deliberately inflicted
bad patch.  What I found waiting when I got the computer back up was
music and video from Bombay, India that speaks to some of the issues
raised by Antennas and the Digital Divide.  East meets West — and
calls out the problem we are all facing.

The song “Antenna” is from a Bollywood Filmi “Always Kabhi Khabi”
released in June 2011. The Filmi’s Producer is Shah Rukh Khan [SRK]
and his Company Red Chiles Entertainment.

SRK inspired and storyboarded “Antenna” and he enacts the song himself
in this video. The “picturization” of the song is set in a jail.
English translation included.

“Always Kabhi Khabi” is targeted to the early 20’s age group in the
present-day all-India pop-music type demographic.  The song speaks
from the young-adult generation to their parents, teachers, and the
rest of the adult world.  Antenna as Metaphor, Antenna as Reality.

Note: Bollywood Films have to pass the Indian Film Censorship Board.
