Right?!! I wish everyone would watch this! That way we will have informed actions that will be directed toward those responsible. I feel like I’m banging my head up against a wall with OccupyOakland.

watched couple minutes USA inc
wrong 1% propaganda off the top
social security and medicare are not entitlements
they are a debt of the US government
look at your paycheck that money is taken out, separate from any other taxes
when the govt took out they agreed to pay you in a retirement and medicare
which neither has a deficit social security has a surplus
both are separate from the general fund which has a deficit
because Iraq Afghanistan wars they made no taxes for but borrowed the money for
and $14 trillion bailout to crooked bankers
War is 60% of budget not entitlements
they want to still take out tax for social security and medical but not give you owed payments
use that money to pay for bankers bailout and war

About OccupyOakland.org

This website was created in the fall of 2011. Most of it is now moribund, but the Occupy Oakland Calendar, which lists activist events in the East Bay (and occasionally elsewhere) is still maintained, the Search facility works to find earlier posts and keep OO’s history alive, and articles are occasionally still posted to the front page.

The Occupy Oakland General Assembly met in-person weekly (with a rare skip) since October 10th, 2011 up until the pandemic, at which point we went to bi-weekly Zoom meetings. We do checkins, go over the activist events of the past meeting interval, and have general discussions on politics and revolution.

For many years, until the pandemic, we put on a Feed the People event monthly at Oscar Grant Plaza, where all were welcome to come and partake of a freshly cooked, savory meal, before our GA.
