I am an East Bay native; and with my college-daughter and friends we marched in Oakland General Strike. Our growing urge to connect is potent, and points us towards imagining what some solutions could look like. Moved and more awakened, I searched online — within our collective internet “nooshphere” and found these below to help me direct my convictions into a positive, non-violent, collaborative and enlightening evolution towards the kind of world I WANT to help create, and divest my energy from looking only at the failing and fallen systems with righteous but unfocused anger. Who will build these new ways that sustain people? Let me “be the change I want to see in the world.”
There are people worldwide who are, and have been doing this with increasing dedication as the environment and social systems around us have broken down, many people of course now active in Occupy Movements. There are now over one million organizations worldwide working for social and environmental justice … It’s just that we haven’t all shown up at once together. Let’s start. http://theacetraining.com/ACE i’m posting here on Occupy Oakland because I feel and believe the more DIVERSE this particular hub is now at the beginning, the more all of us who are honestly for a new collaborative society, will have a voice and perspective woven into building it. We learn how to model what’s working and form hubs in our own neighborhoods and communities. Young and old alike, we’re in a new kind of education, we are being called out to evolve. Thank you.
