I say, we want
1) NATIONALIZE THE BANKS
2) REBUILD OUR BROKEN EDUCATION SYSTEM TO INCLUDE A ALL MUSIC, ART AND PE PROGRAMS THAT HAVE BEEN CLOSED DOWN, AND PROVIDE FOR A FREE EDUCATION THRU COLLEGE.
3) CREATE A COMPLETE AND FREE HEALTH SYSTEM FOR EVERYBODY – Shut down the insurance companies
4) NATIONALIZE THE UTILITY INDUSTRIES – GAS, ELECTRIC, COAL, SOLAR.
5) CREATE A NATIONAL JOBS PROGRAM TO REBUILD THE INFRASTRUCTURE OF OUR CITIES
6) END OUR WAR ECONOMY – CREATE A PEACE-TIME ECONOMY.
If we want change, then it’s up to us to say what kind of change we want. When we occupy banks or businesses, we point out that they are screwing us, but we don’t say what we want instead. I think we need a program.
I’m a senior living on social security. It’s barely enough to survive on.
I was downtown at Ogawa Plaza from noon to 2:00 pm today. It was lively. I liked that, and I think it would be more likely to achieve some goals, if we had some specific goals to call for, like the above. – JUST MY TWO CENTS WORTH in these actions to create democracy and care for all of us.
WHERE SHOULD I BRING A WHOLE BUNCH OF GOOD BLANKETS TO???
