If you are following the news on Democracynow or other non-corporate news sources, you are hearing like I am all these reports of brutal military attacks on the protestors in Tahrir Square of Cairo. We have exchanged many messages of solidarity with them because they seek the same things we seek, fundamentally: democracy, a voice for themselves and their children in the future, a peaceful resolution to decades of manufactured conflict, the chance for somebody to work hard and improve his/her life.
There is a march planned for tomorrow at Justin Herman Plaza, base camp of Occupy SF, I believe the march is at 5:30, at any rate it’s between 5:00 and 6:00 that we’re all gathering there, and a lot of the Veterans for Peace groups I think are going to be out there, so please try to come out and join us there tomorrow and make a statement against United States military aid to the Egyptian government.
