March 24 &25 10am-8pm at the Holdout, 2313 San Pablo Ave(@23rd St.), Oakland CA This is 20-hour course covering basic patient assessment, recognition of medical emergencies, and first aid in situations where help may be delayed. Developed for wilderness situations, this course is adapted for urban uprisings and will include care for chemical weapons exposure, herbal first aid, and public health considerations for long-term occupations. We will have an information table at the 2nd OO Barbeque & Speakout (which will have taken place a day before this meeting). We need people for lots of roles, including media outreach, leafleting, initial home visits, information gathering, investigation, bank actions, home actions, admin and other stuff.
