 Thank you to everyone who came out to Wood St encampment last week to provide support to residents during this violent displacement. Wood St encampment is home to an estimated 200 to 300 individuals, some who have lived here over a decade. With little to no resources or support from the state, we need to keep showing up for our unhoused neighbors!  OTU’s Mission The Oakland Tenants Union is an organization of housing activists dedicated to protecting tenant rights and interests. OTU does this by working directly with tenants in their struggle with landlords, impacting legislation and public policy about housing, community education, and working with other organizations committed to furthering renters’ rights.
