In April-May, 2019, Venezuelan Embassy Protection Collective (EPC) members, at the request of the Venezuelan government of Nicolas Maduro, defended the Venezuelan Embassy in Washington, D.C. for 37 days. Citing U.S. and international law (the Geneva Convention), they rejected the Trump administration’s imperial “appointment” of coup leader Juan Guaido to the Venezuelan presidency.
