Come support the Alameda Renters Coalition and their fight for a moratorium on rent increases and a rent control ordinance.   At the special meeting, the City Council will receive a study on the City’s rental housing market, prepared by BAE Urban Economics (BAE).  To address the rental housing market, including rapidly rising rents and low vacancy rates in Alameda, City staff will also present a range of policy options that the City Council may consider, including consideration of a temporary moratorium on rental increases or evictions without just cause. … Continued
