The postal service wanted to sell the post office to Hudson-Mcdonald, a local developer. The City of Berkeley sued the post office to stop the sale. WesPac is back. So are we. The proposal to develop a massive crude oil storage and transport facility in Pittsburg is back on the table. The new proposal would exclude the crude-by-rail component and instead rely on pipeline and marine transport. Residents are still opposed. We can support them by attending the next Pittsburg City Council meeting at which they finally stop the project in its tracks or approve a resolution to allocate funds for further environmental review.
