Sidewalk Stories is a 1989 low-budget, nearly silent movie directed by and starring Charles Lane. This black-and-white feature is about a homeless street artist who becomes the guardian of a small girl after her father is murdered. The film was an homage to Charlie Chaplin’s film The Kid and was a critical favorite.
