On Nov 29th, we join together with graduate students nationwide to oppose the GOP tax plan. The tax plan targets higher education by taxing tuition waivers as income, drastically increasing the amount we pay in taxes and locking out continuing and future grads who can’t afford the cost. A recent study found that, in the U.S., the median white households net wealth was 13 times greater than the median Black households and 10 times greater than the median Latinx households.
