Stop Billionaires Summer: Protest Wells Fargo @ Wells Fargo Global Headquarters
Jul 23 @ 8:30 am – 12:00 pm

“No bank has bent to the knee to Trump as dramatically as Wells Fargo,

  • the only bank to have dropped its climate commitments,
  • funds Palantir, a company that works with ICE to target and deport immigrants,
  • funds Elbit Systems, a provider of weapons and technologies to the Israeli military, which is committing genocide in Palestine,
  • engaging in full-throated union busting,
  • planning to privatize the post office and sell it off for parts.”

RSVP here

THIS ACTION IS PART OF  “STOP BILLIONAIRES SUMMER, an eight-week campaign focused on mass action, civil disobedience, and movement-building targeting the billionaire and corporate elites fueling the crises we’re living through.”

“From Elon Musk’s techno-fascist empire to fossil fuel financiers and real estate tycoons, we’re coming for the billionaires who are attacking our communities and stealing our future. And we’re organizing to win.”

From mid-July to September, actions will especially target the tech oligarchy and other billionaire backers of fossil fuel and Trump’s programs.

Organizers describe how previous actions have demonstrated the power of prolonged, disruptive protest. In last summer’s Summer of Heat on Wall Street, more than 5,000 people converged on New York to disrupt the financial backers of fossil fuels, with a special focus on blockading Citibank, a key investor.

The following December, Citi announced a major improvement in its climate policies,  promising to step down fossil fuel investments more quickly than any other bank’s plans.

Fight The Trump Takeover Rally @ Lake Merritt Amphitheater
Aug 16 @ 11:00 am – 12:30 pm

Fight The Trump Takeover Rally organized by Fight the Trump Takeover

The Texas House Democrats are denying quorum to stop the Trump takeover of Texas and block his attempt to rig the 2026 midterm elections. But Trump isn’t stopping in Texas. He’s targeting Missouri, Ohio, Florida, and every state he can twist to help him steal Congress next year. States like California and New York are starting to fight back.

Let’s be clear: this fight started in Texas, but it doesn’t end there. This isn’t just about redistricting or one state’s politics. It’s about the future of our democracy. Trump is terrified of the American people. He knows he can’t win on his ideas, so he’s trying to take Congress by hook or by crook–and he’s doing it by silencing the voices of communities of color. We’re not going to let that happen.

That’s why we’re organizing a National Day of Action, on Saturday, August 16, to fight back against the Trump takeover of our country.

Texas will lead with an anchor rally at the Capitol in Austin. Across the country, we’re asking people to show up at their state houses, city halls, or community spaces and make it clear — we see what Trump is doing, and we won’t stand for it.

Please note: A core principle behind our Fight the Trump Takeover actions is a commitment to nonviolence in all we do. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

Oakland #WorkersOverBillionaires Labor Day Kickoff @ Oscar Grant Plaza
Sep 1 @ 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm

The billionaires continue to wage a cruel war on working people, with their cronies in the administration, ICE and law enforcement backing up their attacks. This Labor Day we will continue to stand strong, fighting for public schools over private profits, healthcare over hedge funds, shared prosperity over corporate politics.

Working people built this nation and we know how to take care of each other. We won’t back down—we will never stop fighting for our families and the rights and freedoms that ensure access to opportunity and a better life for all Americans. The billionaire’s time is up.

On September 1st we will continue the movement we launched together on May 1st, standing in solidarity with all our communities under attack and fighting for real wins for all our people.

In thousands of communities around the country we encourage you to take a stand with us on Labor Day. On the streets, outside the offices of the corporate criminals who are behind the attacks on our freedoms and at congressional offices. Together we will demand a world that works for all of us.

OUR DEMANDS TO BUILD THE SOCIETY WE ALL DESERVE:

  1. Stop the billionaire takeover and rampant corruption of the Trump administration.
  2. Protect and defend Medicaid, Social Security, and other programs for working people.
  3. Fully funded schools, and healthcare and housing for all.
  4. Stop the attacks on immigrants, Black, indigenous, trans people, and all our communities.
  5. Invest in people not wars.

Please note: A core principle behind all our events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
