Occupy San Francisco has asked Occupy Oakland to join them in their action today to protest Jeb Bush and Rupert Murdoch as they meet to plan the further privatization of education. Please join them at Montgomery and Market street in SF. They need the numbers that Occupy Oaklands support can bring.

Vigil for Troy Davis and to end the death penalty.
Danny Glover will take part in the Jobs Not Cuts rally at Oscar Grant Plaza this Saturday at 3:30. The demonstration will gather at Laney College at 1:00pm, and begin marching to the Plaza at 2:30. Along the way they will stop at the Federal Building to nail their demands to the door.

Recently freed activists, Shane, Josh and Sarah-the three Hikers imprisoned in Iran- are going to talk about the connections that can be drawn between the ordeal they went through and the situation in U.S. Prisons, including linking their hunger strike with the current hunger strikers in California prisons, torture and brutality, and other issues. This is the first time when all three have been together to speak out about what happened.
