Consider helping schools over prisons

I understand there are all kinds of injustices in the world and thank goodness there are people out there who still believe in making a difference in the world. Please realize that prisoners treatment on the whole gives them access to books and learning.  Prisoners have the option of learning and gaining a degree or training while in prison. The prisoners have access to libraries and books. I’m not sure if you realize there are public schools where kids have no access to a library. In fact, the city of Salinas has no public library for the entire community. Is this right, that people who have chosen to break the law and have been caught and gone through the system (costing money all along the way) have better access to libraries that some public school kids? There are major inequalities in education from district to district. I  encourage you to think about the next generation and the priorities around education.
