Supply Needs link is broken

Click on the green Donate button. Then click “Supply Needs can be found here”. It tries to takes you here: http://www.occupyoakland.org/committees/supplysubcommittee/needed-supplies/

This is a broken link. Not sure how to report this better but it seems kinda important.

Also the Donate button is hard to notice for some people. I suggest making it a tab on the main menu.

Great! I’m a web developer and PHP programmer with about 12 years experience. I’ve done a fair amount of work on WordPress sites. If you need any help with anything let me know.

I’ll look into it. We have a lot of different people working on the site and things get moved around fairly often just as they do in the encampment (esp the night after the raid!) and lots of people make and unmake pages and posts. In the future you can send bug reports to web@occupyoakland.org but unfortunately we haven’t got that address working yet :>

This website was created in the fall of 2011. Most of it is now moribund, but the Occupy Oakland Calendar, which lists activist events in the East Bay (and occasionally elsewhere) is still maintained, the Search facility works to find earlier posts and keep OO’s history alive, and articles are occasionally still posted to the front page.

The Occupy Oakland General Assembly met in-person weekly (with a rare skip) since October 10th, 2011 up until the pandemic, at which point we went to bi-weekly Zoom meetings. We do checkins, go over the activist events of the past meeting interval, and have general discussions on politics and revolution.

For many years, until the pandemic, we put on a Feed the People event monthly at Oscar Grant Plaza, where all were welcome to come and partake of a freshly cooked, savory meal, before our GA.
