Proposal for Occupy Oakland GA

hello my name is Jason, I am a member of the occupyphoenix media team and I am looking to get a cross country nationwide march going to DC operating in the same way as OWS’s march to DC currently underway.  I have been getting in touch with other occupations around the country trying to gain support for this action and have received a fair amount of interest in a short amount of time.  I have been in contact with the group doing the current march on DC and informed them of the idea and they have told me they would love to help promote it on their larger Occupy The Highway platform that will be coming soon.  I would love for OccupyOakland to have the honor of being the location from where the march begins.  I feel that you guys have gotten extremely good at getting big actions known and done and evidenced by your shutting down of the port on the 2nd.  Also after everything with the OPD you just damn deserve it.  I would also love if the Oakland Occupation were the one’s to come up with the purpose of the march (like how OWS is against the Bush tax cuts).  Because I am in Phoenix and can not do it directly myself my request is that the GA in Oakland bring this idea forward to see if it is something you all want to do.   If this sounds like something you want to do please let me know ASAP so we can all start planning.  I’m asking all the occupies that are in if possible to get a temporary (as the march is finite) committee on this action going and I will help assist all those committees in communicating through the email nationwidemarchondc@gmail.com.  The first task of each of these committees will be to figure out a route and schedule.  The plan because of weather is to stick to the south of the US and I hope to get this underway early to mid December.  I believe we should also put out the call for any occupations not in the marching path to either join at some point along the way (tell everyone to be in city X on day Y) or to start marches of their own.  This will show all the critics that the winter made us stronger and will send an incredible message to Washington.
