Oakland: Chaos near Fruitvale BART station after attempted drive-by shooting

OAKLAND — A drive-by shooter firing on a car near the Fruitvale BART station Thursday morning missed his target, but the car wound up crashing into two other vehicles and a taco truck outside a popular restaurant, police said. After crashing, the occupants of the car ran away as the gunman continued to shoot at them but did not hit them, police said. Two vehicles in a parking lot were hit by gunfire.
