Monthly interfaith prayer meeting, held on second Sundays, dedicated to healing. The Bahá’í community of Oakland is organizing this gathering for the community to connect, share prayers, writings and poems from all spiritual traditions, reflect and recharge and build coalitions interested in healing. Come share prayers, quotes, poems, and favorite passages from your scriptures with us. Refreshments will be served. This training will take participants through many of the strategies, tools and considerations of non-violent direct action, including power and privilege, de-escalation, blockades, legal, direct action organizing models, and the opportunity to form affinity groups. This training will be an important place to get plugged into for upcoming actions in late April and beyond.
