We’ve all seen the hordes of Canadian geese around the lake. They are an invasive, non-native species that have taken up residence, are shitting all over everything, and are depriving local wildlife of resources. The City has installed a bird sanctuary on the west side of the Lake, but it is not sufficient to make up for the displacement of the indigenous bird population by the relative newcomers, the Canadian geese, especially since several Canadian geese have taken up residence in and around the housing previously designated for native species. … Continued
