On October 13, 2011 – History was made!
Occupy Oakland became the only first encampment of the Occupy Movement to have a space designed for the needs and education of families and children.
This space was the Children’s Village!
Join us as we hold a ceremony to remember, celebrate and grieve, beginning at the amphitheater of Oscar Grant Plaza! !
We will then have a brief and happy family march to snow park and share a pot luck picnic together.
Music will be provided by Children’s Village’s Trubadora, Stephanie Pepitone!!!
